Timmy T. based on stats?
Winner of Ressing/Daniels Showdown?
Did Denny D. Prove his worth with his injury?
or is it another, maybe a defensive player like Glenn Dorsey or Chris Long? (also please post if you know where i could find the league leaders in sacks and other defensive stats (besides interceptions)).

Unpredictable...like the whole college football season this year...

Tebow should probably get it. The entire Florida team is Tebow, Percy Harvin...and... um... and.... no one else. And yet they still keep getting a lot of wins in a very tough conference.

If West Virginia can get into a top spot, I think Pat White or Steve Slaton should get a nomination, at least.

I also think that Colt Brennan should get a nomination because he is dominating, regardless of who he plays.

My top five would be:
1. Glenn Dorsey
2. Tim Tebow
3. Colt Brennan
4. Steve Slaton
5. Darren McFadden

Dorsey would be the winner because he's by far the best player on by far the best team, and that should be enough. Its almost easy to find an innovative and scary offense and offensive player these days, the way coaches scheme so much... look at Hawaii or Texas Tech and what they've made out of Brennan and Harrell. But to build an innovative and scary defense is much harder, and Dorsey is the leader of one of the best defenses ever seen in college football.

On stats alone, Tebow, but he is only a soph and the Gators have lost three games.

As much as I love Dixon (saw him play a lot in high school), I think the injury cost him.

I think it will be the Ressing/Daniel showdown, but with a twist. Unless he has a terrible game, I think that Chase Daniel is the winner.

Dorsey, are you kidding? His defense has given up 28 points a game in the last 5 games, and gave up near 500 yards to a team with a total of 3 wins. LSU wins because they are gamers, not because they are the most talented. And LSU is by far the best team? They lost to an unranked team. Personally I think the heisman should go to Dixon, or one of three QBs from the big 12. If I had to give it to one of them, I would probably give it to the kid out of Texas Tech. He can make all the throws, system or not. Tebow is good, and it wouldn't break my heart to see him get it, either. Pat White should get some consideration, as well.
My top 5
Denny D
the Texas Tech qb, it's to late and I can't think of his name.
Timmy T
Daniels
Pat White.

Tebow has the stats and should be awarded the trophy. He has been the most consistent player in this brutally inconsistent season. Politics, though, may hurt his chances (being an underclassman and playing for Florida).

Right about now it is really up for grabs but I would have to say the white boy Tim Tebow has the edge but how they play over the next while will determine it. Kansas and Missouri will be a deciding factor.

If Florida wins the SEC and gets a BCS Bowl Bid, Tim Tebow wins it

I think it would have to be Tim Tebow. I think he is undoubtedly the best player in college football.

I think Colt Brennan should win the heisman.

The most underrated player in the nation.
