Are there ways to know if one is in love? Also, what does one mean if he/she asks, "I think I'm in love."? Is love a feeling or what? I'm kind of puzzled and confused.

Love is a feeling. When people "fall in love" they are usually infatuated with a stranger, a person whom they do not really know. Later, when they get to know them, they find they do not love them.

If you have a child, it is easy to fall in love with the child, and that love is often unconditional. It is a feeling that you truly feel forever.

some quotations on love:

“Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, the romance and you find out you still care for that person”

“But some emotions don't make a lot of noise. It's hard to hear pride. Caring is real faint - like a heartbeat. And pure love - why, some days it's so quiet, you don't even know it's there.”

“A woman knows the face of the man she loves like a sailor knows the open sea.”
Honore de Balzac, French Novelist 1799-1850

I dont know how to know one is in love but I can say that true love IS NOT a feeling. It is neither like or dislike of someone. It is neither an emotion. Love is love. I think the best definition of this is in the Bible. Corinthians 13.

I think the term "in love" is used in romance movies and those people who feel infatuation.

You know your in love when you want to give the best part of yourself to that person always in every way and want only the best for them when you cherish them and feel the essence of God in them and it stirs something deep inside you and you want to rest with them - with that person you have found home.
