So many across America has done what they can to take Christmas out of Christmas.
Would you boycot a parade for changing its name from the "Annual Christmas Parade" to the "Annual Holiday Parade"?
Is it fair they call it the 61st running of the parade (or whatever it is in your town) when in fact they changed the name just a few years ago?

I am getting rather sick and tired of the USA cow-towing to the 14% of Americans who do not like calling things Christmas or do not like Nativity scenes near public buildings that have been put there for DECADES.... Why if 86% of all Americans want to KEEP the traditional things and words.... what kind of power are we giving to the MINORITY 14%???? It's totally unjust... I am NOT a religious person, but I TRULY hate to see money changing, pledges being CHANGED, Christmas not being ALLOWED to be celebrated or spoken of....just for 14 LOUSY PERCENT of the population!!!!!!!! Wake up you guys....!!! That is not how a DEMOCRACY is supposed to work---it's supposed to be MAJORITY RULE, not MINORITY....

by the way, these parades and such are NOT just organized by the CATHOLIC RELIGION... where do you guys get your "fractured facts" from?

You know on the other side of the coin there are signs in stores these days that Kwanzaa and Hanukkah are mentioned so why not Xmas too. Its wrong I say. Happy Holidays I may be wrong but the s to me indicates more than one. Yet Kwanzaa and Hanukkah are printed on store signs in some store. Now I may be crazy but don't Happy Holidays cover all of the seasons holidays. Yes I would be cause Holiday is singular so it still represents only one religion. Now I don't see a problem with all the holidays being mentioned in equal ratios.

There is no such christmas parade or Holiday parade in the bible. The government should not interfere with the relgious parade of the catholics which is the complete separation of the government from religion.

Christmas or holiday parade is supposed to be the activity of the catholic religion alone without the participation of the gaovernment.

I'm a Christian and I don't go to parades anyways (I'm not into that kind of stuff) but I would not be any less inclined to go if they changed the name.

no, I would go, I can't see getting upset about the difference between holiday and Christmas, if people tell you that you cannot be Christian and go to church that would be really bad, no one that says "Happy Holidays!!" is forcing you to be un-Christian. get a life.

I've never been to one but it wouldn't stop me from going. I don't understand why they can't call it Christmas and I'm not even Christian.
