well if someone is mischevious it means they are up to no good. so if someone is mischeviously doing something they are up to no good and are probably doing something bad.

The first answer is closer to my understanding : doing something with ill intent; but not seriously evil. An example would be doing or saying something that would cause a person embarassement, but not serious harm (such as teaching a foreigner 'naughty' words, so that they unknowingly use them in polite company).
