Base on latest recommendation by Doc, baby should only be given solid food when she is 6 months old.
You should try to find out why she's not finishing her milk. It can be she is having stomach upset, or she changes her taste, prefer different milk, etc... There is no exact answer as each baby is an individual.

Do not try solids...she is too young for her system to handle it. You should talk to your docter b/c she may need a special type of formula, maybe she is lactose intolerant and needs soy formula, but you really need to talk to her doctor first. My daughter will be 6months on the 9th and she drinks 24-30 ounces of formula a day.

I use the colic tablets, you can find them at Walmart or Walgreens in the baby section, they are made by Hyland I believe and they are all natural which is a great thing!

She might have an upset stomach. Also, try burping her every 2 ounces as she may have lots of bubbles.

Have you looked in her mouth? Does she have white spots, or act like she is in pain when she is sucking? You should be seeing a doctor there could be any number of things going on, but if there is white spots she could have a thrush infection. Please see a doctor if this keeps going on. I feel if there is any question about what is going on it is best to see a doctor, than let it run it's course. Don't try solids yet,see the doctor first. If you wanted to try anything baby rice would be the first thing, maybe mixed with baby juice, but don't just start baby foods or solids.

It really depends on the child. People say so much and doctors think they know everything but my first child I was nursing and she would just scream and scream and they said it was colic but I put her on a soy formula and she was fine. Try some small baby food like apple sauce, nothing with high acid or even bananas can be a little rough, or mix the formula with some cereal. She might just not me wanting as much, babies appetites tend to change frequently.

Babies know when they are hungry. Do not insist on feeding if she doesn't want to. Try burping her before feeding as she could be suffering from colic. Burp her once more in the middle of feeding.
