I am currently a college student that is going through the same thing alot of students go through: uncertainty about what I want to do. Until now, (for now ;-) I want to own my own marketing firm one day. I have always been creative in that aspect and have helped some of the business where I live attract customers. But, I go to school for Business Ad. for now, and want to transfer next year (other reason other than major) and would like to know which schools are the TOP for marketing, I know alot have them have tha major. Thanks

US News 2007 rankings:

1. Northwestern (Chicago, IL)
2. University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA)
3. Duke University (Durham, NC)

You can go to the website, pay $15.00 and get the full list of rankings. They will also give you class profiles, statistics of their average students, tuition rates, etc.

You could also try other rankings websites like Businessweek.com, entrepreneur.com, or even some marketing specific sites.

All of those schools will probably want AT LEAST 2 years of solid work experience and strong hard factors (GMAT score and GPA.)

Good Luck! If you can get into Northwestern, go there! It's a BEAUTIFUL place and there would be hundreds of opportunities for internships and jobs.
