when did cheerleader pom- poms become small hand-held puffs of glitter??

maybe I am old- fashoioned, but I like the larger, poufy old- fashioned ones.

As a former college cheerleader, its easier to cheer and tumble and stunt with poms that are huge and have the string everywhere.

it happened when people started using drugs or something because i think they look horrible i favor the old fashion ones as well.
