I'd say Matt Hasselbeck of the Seattle Seahawks and Zach Thomas of the Miami Dolphins... Priest Holmes was also very good, shame his career got cut short.

what do you think? NO BRADY THAT IS THE OBVIOUS ANSWER ; )

Okay here we go, the top 8 NFL draft steals: (one thing they are all HOFers)

1. Roosevelt Brown -OT-27th round- pick #321
2. Raymond Berry-WR-20th round-pick #321
3. Andy Robustelli-DE-19th round-pick#228
4. Bart Starr-17th round-pick#200
5. Willie Davis-15th round-pick#181
6. David "Deacon" Jones-14th round-pick#186
7. Roger Staubach-10th round-pick#129 (Drafted as a future)
8. Ken Houston-9th round-pick#214 (lowest drafted HOF in the common draft) (since 1967)

These HOFers were not drafted:
Frank Gatski,Lou Groza, Marion Motley, Bill Willis and Joe Perry (all signed by Cleveland in 1946 during the birth of the AAFC)

Emlen Tunnell, Dick "Night Train" Lane, Willie Wood, Willie Brown, Larry Little, Jim Langer and Warren Moon. (Moon was not drafted coming out of Washington and signed w/Edmonton, was a free agent when he signed with Houston)

So LT was a steal as the #5?. Then what about Jerry Rice as the #16 overall, Favre in the 2nd, Montana in the 3rd or Unitas in the 9th (but the #102 because there were like 8 teams in the league)?

My pick would be Cris Carter, the best WR ever not named Jerry Rice. He was taken in the 4th round of the supplemental draft in an era when there were 12 regular rounds and 355 picks in those rounds. This means that Carter was the 500th-something pick and he will become the lowest drafted HOFer.

Brady was "only" the #199.

Did Brady "lobby" for that? NO. All owners voted on it. He is a big Diva but your reasoning is stupid. I am not a fan but come on. The new "Brady Rule" has hurt more than him. Ask Carson Palmer. And the Tuck Rule had to be put in place after it killed Oakland. He is nowhere near the "BIGGEST Diva" ever.....Terrell Owens, Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders, Chad Johnson, Joe Horn.......Be serious. Brady is annoying sometimes, but he is an awesome QB. He RARELY talks trash. P.S. A "second effort" is not illegal. The rule states that when a defender is on his knees or on the ground he can not go for the QB's knees. Get some facts before coming nutty

I know you might disagree with me But Tony Romo was a third string QB out of Illinois and His second year as a starter who hung in their 4 years as a third string for the cowboys now having a 6 year 67 mil dollar deal hes done an outstading job and hes led the NFC in QB rating and stats and in the NFL right under Brady. Now we are 9-1

LaDainian Tomlinson.

Hard to believe that the 5th overall pick was a steal, but think about the circumstances.

The Chargers had the number one pick, but didn't really want Michael Vick. They had targeted Tomlinson, but couldn't possibly justify taking anyone besides Vick to their fans. So, they traded away their pick to the Falcons, and then used the Falcons' first round pick to take Tomlinson, and the Falcons' second round pick to take Drew Brees.

So instead of caving to fan pressure and getting stuck with an oft-injured and now jailed quarterback, they got a future Hall of Fame running back, and also a great quarterback. Now, because they're stupid, they let that quarterback (Brees) go, but the compensatory pick they got for losing him gave them Shawne Merriman.

So instead of taking Vick who would ruin that team, they took Tomlinson, who is the best running back in the league right now, AND they also got Drew Brees, who is miles better than Vick anyway.

That's the biggest steal in ANY draft since Michael Jordan if you ask me.
