As soon as me and my ex-bf quit seeing each other he started seeing another woman. It was not long that he moved her in and now I hear they are engaged. They have only been together for 4 mos. now. He told me before that he was tired of living by hisself. Do you think he loves her or do you think he just wants to have somebody to live with him? He also told somebody that he was tired of washing dishes and washing clothes.

I can only tell you my experience, I met my husband when I was 15, he was 18.

I knew from day one that he was the one for me. We married when I was 17, I am 35 now and we are still going strong with 3 wonderful girls.

You had me until the washing clothes and dishes? What does that have to do with anything? Look it's like this, my husband was with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his 3 children for 12 years and they didn't marry. We met and fell in love and 2 weeks later were talking about marriage (we got engaged 4 months later and married 7 months after that). He and his ex had been broken up 3 1/2 years before I met him (more than enough time) and he had other gfs in between that. All I can say is when it's right it's right. You really can't put a time-limit on love. Yes, I think he can love her and know, without a doubt, that she is the one for him. That's how it is, it just happens and you just "know". It could also be true that he's about to marry his rebound girl - and that he's not as "in love" as much as he's hurting and lonely. My question is, why do you care? You seem to be keeping up on what he's doing. Who broke things off, you or him? i think I answered your question so now I'll give some unsolicited advice. Move on. Whether or not he loves this woman is irrelevant, he's going to marry her and not you. I suggest you find more productive ways to spend your time and energy. Good luck.

I don't know how you would feel that way after such a short time. You wouldn't really know that person that well. It could work out, or later down the line some skeletons could come out of the closet, to haunt them both. I really think he just wants a place to live.

He may love her it is possible. But he may just need someone to take care of him. And sometimes chosing someone after a few months may be better than chosing someone that you have known forever. Depends on the person.

No way--- it is destined to fail. Rule of thumb is 1 1/2--- 2 years to really know them.

To answer your question: No, you can't.

To respond to your comments: He's going to end up paying a LOT for a maid.

You need to move on - he has.
