Billions of them are slaughtered in preparation for this day. We eat them and feel (temporarily) sated. Does anyone not see the irony in this, us giving thanks even as we are taking the lives of helpless creatures and eating dead bodies of birds?

They are honored and revered by all other birds commonly eatin by humans such as the chicken. they are treated with respect and are given any male/female bird as their mate before they are slaughtered. This is unfortunately a 1 month event, so turkeys dont keep this fame they love ever soo too long.

I know what you are trying to say, that eating meat is wrong and if we only knew the condition our food was in before the slaughter was done, however, I like meat. It's good. It's better when when BBQ'd. I'm getting hungry.

Have you ever seen a turkey farm? Maybe they are glad to be out of it.
