Because humans are sadistic?

Also, to saq428... Animals kill other animals for food, yes. Carnivores kill other animals for food. Humans aren't carnivores. Also, other animals don't raise/breed animals in cruel and inhumane conditions in order to slaughter more than they can consume (which is, in itself, more than they *should* eat).

Most people eat meat... it's what they're raised with and what they're used to. And I understand that and it certainly doesn't make someone a bad person. But to frivolously brush it off as a "right" is disgusting.

Asked and answered in a previous question, because they are raised for that purpose, they are a source of food and I might add we eat meat everyday not only on holidays. If you eat any meat at all you have to kill it first, so why make a big deal out of eating turkey on one particular day?

Awe the poor turkey. It had so much to live for. Animals kill other animals for food...do you protest them too?

Because man has killed for sport since the beginning of time...Did you expect there NOT to be Holiday devoted to this??

If man were meant to eat only veggies, God wouldn't have created meat.

Because they make good eating.

Also, I believe that one of the reasons God put animals on this Earth is to provide subsitance for us and for other animals.
