I'm just wondering what is normal. How long have you been married? We've been married a year and two months and our sex life has really dropped off here lately. I want it more than he does, is that normal? I'd say we're lucky if we have intercourse once a month.

Don't panic! I am married, as are many of my friends and co-workers. It is not abnormal for the amount of sex to vary over time. Most people do not keep up the frantic pace of sex that they had before marriage. I find once/week is average for me and I've been married for one and a half years. However, if one of us is sick or really stressed out, of course it might be less. If we happen to be away from town or particularly excited then it may be more often. Most people I know who are married have sex any where between twice/week and once/month. If you are concerned about it, talk to him about it. Maybe there is a reason behind it: stressed, he thinks you are not interested, he is worried about his performance, who knows? Try to find out why and then maybe you can work at increasing it if that is what you want.

We have been married over 7 years now. For the last year and a half (since he quit drinking) we have sex AT LEAST 4 times a weeks, and sometimes he can't even wait for me to finish my period, which ...well, whatever. Anyway, before that, when he was drinking we were only having sex maybe once a month or sometimes once every 2 months. It was horrible and I felt so lonely. I didn't know it was because of his drinking because he works an hour away from home and he was just always sleepy. He would come home, sleep, wake up, eat dinner, and go back to bed. This was my life...alone for 6 years. Until we ended up in the emergency room because he was going into liver failure because of drinking at the age of 35. It was so shocking to me girl. I had no idea he was drinking the way he was drinking. He would buy bottles of wine and down them on the way home!!! I knew on the weekends the beer drinking would start at 11:00 and would end about 8:00 in the night when he would pass out. So speaking from experience...if he is drinking, he probably just isn't in the mood.

hi...i'm married for a year and 4 months...and yes, we also have it like once a month (sometimes more than one month...like one month and half). recently i was really confused if its just we two or there are other people who are in the same situation like us. as far as i remember, you're already lucky to have two children and have moved out of the previous marriage, but for me...this is my first and we don't have children yet. now i doubt if i'd ever have children. something's seriously wrong with us and i think there are a lot of things to work on. still, after everything, i hope everything will be fine.

I'm 42 and she's 31 and we've been together 12 years. Getting together varies...if the kids are away (we're expecting our third) it can be 2-3 times a day. If the kids are home...1-5 times a week.

I have been married for almost 3 years and my husband and I are intimate at least 2-3 times a week. (we have 4 kids...so it's hard to find the time) I would say there is something going on...has he been under a lot of stress? Is there a new baby? Something is up...try to ask him...

ive been married 5 years and we have 2 kids. my husband works about 65 hrs a week, i work full time and take care of the family and the home--so basically, once a month for me too!

Once a week-ish. Together since dinosaurs roamed the earth. We have had 2 bad patches where we went a year and a half without, due to mutual stubbornness.

Married for almost 2 years, hes 41 im 31, we have sex 3 times a week, if hes tired, ill start it, if im tired is hes job to start it, but we dont go a week without it, and if he cant keep up with it, then levitra is always good!!!

3 years and I want it alot more than she does, yes its normal, and once a month might me fine by some people I need it at least once a week
