A test would answer your question, so go for it.

the same thing happened to me the day i was suppose to get my period, i had spotting. it lasted for about 5 days, but one day i would spot the other nothing. I had a feeling I was pregnant, but i waited more to test then when i did the test was postive, later went to a clinic and confirmed it. i am now 9 weeks pregnant. So could very well be pregnant

If you are always regular and are suffering from no colds or stress then I would take one of the tests that state they can tell within 3 days of missed period. If you are suffering from a cold or a lot of extra stress I would wait about another week to week and a half to take the test. I suggest that if you wait to take the test you refrain from doing any of the things that pregnant women should not do.

You can take a test now or wait 2-3 weeks for the best results.

I wouldn't be too worried since you got your period, but I can relate to your paranoia. It sounds more like spotting to me, though.
Anyways, if you want to just be extra sure that you aren't pregnant, go ahead and buy the test. Better safe than sorry!
Good luck,
Miki

I would keep an eye on it and if it continues, call your OB. I've had the same problems before. It could come down to something really serious, like a uterine blood clot, so if it continues, have it checked out!
