I have heard that there are certain vitamins and nutrients that you can make sure to get while pregnant that will increase a baby's chances of having certain desired features when they are born, such as long eyelashes, thick hair, and other characteristics. Does anyone know a reliable source from which I could get specific information on this? Thanks a lot!

I've never heard of such a thing. You should be taking pre-natal vitamins when you are pregnant so that your baby is healthy.

Where did you read that? It is so untrue. Genes are what makes these things appear in a baby, not vitamins. In fact, the wrong vitamins can give a baby brain problems and other problems. Consult your doctor about anything like this, but don't experiment or go by some off the wall advertisement or media report. If that were so, every mother would use vitamins and every baby would have the most wonderful characteristics. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. I have thin hair from my mother's genes, an ugly nose from my dad's genes, long eyelashes from someone, when I'm not pulling on them from allergies.
Answer to your question: a big NO! Have a great day.

No vitamins dont do that , your dna and your partners dna choose what features your baby will have.

But you should take vitamins anyway to make sure your baby is healthy and getting all the nutrience he or she needs to grow. I found that Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding are the best so you and bub stay healthy during the pregnancy.

You shouldnt worry about your babies features you get what you are given just think about making sure he or she stays healthy!

Sorry never heard of this but I do know you should be taking prenatal vitamins. Also, I dont think the baby can have any of those "desired features" if it isnt in their genes from mommy or daddy's side of the fam

I have never heard of such a thing. All I know is to take folic acid, to help with brain development (which is more important to me than long eyelashed anyway)

these traits come from the dna combination of both parents-a child may have dads long eyelashes but is bald-and thick beautiful hair like mom-the dominate eye color is blue-however if neither parent has blue it tend to come from the father.

Nope, all your baby's features will come straight from DNA! If yourself or the child's father have great features, your baby will most likely have them too.
