Science is observations of the world around us based on observational theories to prove events and occurrences. I personally believe that science is interesting, but I don't take everything to be true.

If it's not a proven fact, then it might be philosophy.

Science is full of unproven facts. Science is a method used to try to prove or disprove the unproven facts. The definition commonly used to define science (Observation, Hypothesis, Test, Theory) is a good starting point. However, intuition, guesses, and luck also play their part.

The real problem with defining science is that there is no uniform definition. This sometimes makes it hard to define pseudo-science. The best definition I've heard of is that science is an accumulation of facts that reinforce themselves and can be used to prove other facts

Science is the pursuit of knowledge. It is not necessarily the attainment of knowledge. In the words of Jacob Bronowski "Science is a very human form of knowledge. We are always at the brink of the unknown, we always feel forward for what is to be hoped.Every judgement in science stands on the edge of error, and is personal. Science is a tribute to what we can know although we are fallible...."

Art is very different. It is expression, having little to do with a pursuit of that which is true - at least, it is not an essential component of art as it is science.
