So...I just tried to make a pre-Thanksgiving Flounder, and......?

.....rolled it in flour, and put it in a pan of hot olive oil. and after a short time, it turned into a pile of fish-goop. i wasnt even able to flip the fish over, cuz it imploded. it ended up as a hot, sticky, ball of oily mush.
just when i realized i should have broiled it, the show 'Kitchen Nightmares' came on.
is it a sign?
