Yes.. there's simply no air for baby to swallow. My son did okay with these, no matter how hard you try, you cannot get ALL the air out..
Regular bottles didn't work for him. If you think about it, as baby is drinking, the bottle becomes harder and harder to drink out of ( think about yourself drinking a water from a bottle, you have to let air back in the bottle, or it will start collapsing.) So i found that the Ventair bottles worked great. He liked the Drop-Ins nipples better, so i just put them on the ventair (Wide) bottles, and he's been happy ever since.
He also likes Dr.Browns, and Avent, but both leaked.. Playtex Ventair were perfect.. Other brands have bottles with same ideas but the playtex ones def. worked much better for my lil one.

They're ok, but I much prefer Dr. Brown's. They sell them everywhere and they work better than the Playtex drop ins. Most people choose the drop ins because they're sterile and they don't have to worry about sterilizing the plastic. In the long run, the Playtex bottles are much more expensive than Dr. Brown's because you have to keep purchasing the inserts. I would never use anything other than Dr. Brown's and have never met a baby who hasn't liked them that has tried them. I swear by them.

I have never used them because my baby does not have colic but one of my friends used them and her daughter cried non-stop, just the loudest hurting cry every all of the time. They actually make regular bottles for colic. I think they are made my Avent. I would suggest trying those before the ones with the bags in them

I love playtex nursers, I bought them so I wouldn't have to sterilize bottles and they are really great, my son was never gassy, but I don't know if that is due to the bottles or if he is just a lucky baby. Anyway, buy one - they usually have couple of liners included - and try for yourself. What works for one baby might not work for other.

Nope, and with all the studies coming out now that say that the toxins in plastics are leeching into bottles - there is NO WAY that I would even fathom using plastic. Get on glass bottles - there is too much crap in plastic for babies.

I love those bottles, and will never use any other. My children I found where easier to burp, we could warm up the bottles faster. Not as much to wash as the other bottles. We swear by them!!

I've found that they do. I give my son bottles at night, and 9 times out of 10, he doesn't have any burps afterward.

My cousin's GF found that the Playtex ones worked well for her daughter, but her sister didn't find that it worked for her child. So, I think it depends on the kid.

they do but it's just harder to keep up with. i felt like i was constantly buying bags and i switched to avent. they're easy to clean and easy to prepare. and i didn't really see a defference in his gas too much you just have to make sure you burn them well.
