delivered by USPS until 2 1/2 weeks after it arrived to the destination city?
I'm also being charged a finance charge (whatever that is) along with the late fee, whereas before when the payments were on time there were no finance charges.
I have made a claim for the late fee but the person I talked with said I would have to pay the finance charge, which I'm thinking is because of the "late" payment.
I don't think I need to pay for the late fee or the additional finance charge because of USPS not delivering the payment within a reasonable time frame. The person I talked with said they have no control over what USPS does. Given that train of thought I shouldn't have to pay because I have no control of what USPS does either.
What do you think?

Well that pretty much sucks.
The payment arrived at the destination city 1 week before the deadline. Why do I have to pay for something that is out of my hands?
That's what gets me.

It's not my fault that it didn't get there on time and I'm being charged for something that is definitely not my doing. LOL that's messed up.

Do what I do. Pay all your bills online through your bank. and most credit card companies and utility can be paid online on their site. Then you do not have crap things happen to your mailed bills like that. That is why I stopped mailing my bills. Unfortunately you cannot prove when the bill was sent.

It's your responsibility to get the payment to them on time so it can be posted by the due date. Suggestion: pay online, then you know when it's there. If I pay my credit card online by 11 am it posts same business day, if after that, posts next business day.
