and we would consider, better va healthcare, a pay increase, better equipment, of course shorter deployments since 15 mos( what my husband is doing) is a long time. there is just so much flawed right now in the system. i read some where that 30% of the military is on some sore of govt. assts.

You should tell us what people in the military would consider helpful. Do you want better benefits, shorter deployments, better equipment? Most people in the US are grateful for the sacrifice military and their families are making, but there are all sort of opinions about how to really support them.

EDIT: Monetary compensation to military personnel increase when the economy is good both because the government budget is it good shape and because opportunities outside the military are greater, so military must offer more money to get and keep recruits. Extended tours of duty are the result of over use of the military to solve the world problems. On both counts I would say that your priorities will be best met by the candidate that you think would be best for America over all, and not be different than your judgment would be if you were a civilian.
Democrats are perceived to be "weak" on military matters and so are less likely to cut back on military pay because the are vulnerable to attack on the issue. They are the next most safe after people like McCain who really care.

Hillary hates the military? Sorry but all of the other candidiates from BOTH sides are no comparison to Hillary in terms of experience and the huge bonus of having Bill Clinton back in the White House is a gurantee that America will be SAVED from the damage done over the last years by Bush.

This is the most SERIOUS vote we are all going to be a part of. Have you heard that the Ameican Dollar has fallen and n ow Canadian money is stronger than ours? Our economy is awful, so many losing jobs, big corporations getting richer.

Whatever you decide, support a Democrat, it's time for change. And I'd sugges you Google each candidate and visit websites to see where they stand on the issues.

Hilary does not hate the troops... I hate talking points... I don't think any politician hates the troops. Some might hate the occupation of Iraq but that does not mean they hate the troops.

By help do you keep them there and maybe Iran.
OR
Do you mean try to bring them home as safe and fast as possible?

Not to defend Hillary but where and when did she say troops make to much and are trained dogs???

Honestly? None of them. Was going to vote for Stephen Colbert, but it just so happens his application to run as a democrat was rejected 13 to 3. Wonder if rejecting his application had anything to do with him getting 6 million signatures in 8 days...

Were they afraid? Yes.

Is there are right decision now a days?? I think all politicians just tell you what they think you want to hear anyway.....If I heard of a politician that said they weren't going to listen to lobbyists or special interest groups...then I would vote for that one....I don't know who the hell would want to take control of the white house after bush and try to fix his f**king mess.

ALL OF THEM THINKS THEY CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEMS THAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THEIR WAYS OF DOING IT. SO IN TOTAL I WOULD SAY ALL OF THEM EXCEPT TO CHOOSE WHICH ONES WILL DO THE RIGHT THING WITH LESS HURT TO THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE, BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT, IN THIS SITUATIONS WE ARE IN RIGHTNOW SOME NOS. OF PEOPLE WILL BE HURT BY THE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS WE ARE IN BUT AS THEY SAY IT IS THE WAYS BY WHICH THE SOLUTIONS WILL BE IMPLEMENTED THAT IS IMPORTANT AND ONLY THE RESULTS AND HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE.

Ron Paul. first: he took a hypocratic oath to do NO harm as a physician. second: he wants to get rid of the income tax.

hillary also has a very large list of "coincidential" suicides. check

Ron Paul is for bringing the troops home safely and as soon as possible, that's why he is the presidential candidate that has received the most military donations

okay, right off the bat: Hillary has never said that soldiers were "trained dogs" or anything even remotely like that.

that said, Hillary is the wrong choice for America.

Dennis Kucinich is the only one running that anyone can even respect, let alone vote for.
