No. My four year old son loves to fold clothes. They wouldn't mind doing anything as long as it is appreciated verbally. When you get enthusied about something they have done, it makes them want to do it more and often times without you asking. All you have to do it show them how to do it, and they are all ready to try it themselves

No, I started folding clothes at that age and I loved it. My favorite was folding towels and bed sheets.
Oh and socks, matching all the pairs was fun.

no girl get em going someday you wont be around and they are going to have to know how to fold their own clothes. so they might as well learn how to at a younger age. like i always say ...

the younger they learn the better.

No chores are good for kids, and folding some clothes is age appropriate.

In the third world they do everything, but it is not necessarily appropriate. Probably too young unless it is just a single cloth once or twice a week , and not a job as such.

A great thing for a 7 year old to do would be to match all the socks.

nope...it may not be perfect, but they have to start somewhere. My kids even started to do laundry when they were tall enough (and responsible) enough to work the wash machine. I was a single mom and it's just the way it was. (PS their spouse will thank you for them later...)
