I failed my last test, but my actual grade is a C+. There is plenty of time before the end of the quarter, but I am trying to get as many high grades as I can get. Would it be a good idea, or would I just be wasting my time?

Has your teacher already stated the policy regarding extra credit? If they have a no extra credit policy, asking the teacher will seem as if you never paid attention to the rules at the beginning of the year. If, however, your teacher is willing to work with students regarding extra credit, ask the instructor. I can tell you I am more willing to help students get extra credit when they have a higher average like yourself then those students who are failing to turn in everyday assignments. Why should I give them extra credit?

Good luck with your class.

It is an excellent idea and your history teacher probably will be agreeable. If not , you have not lost anything.
