Hey trust me i just took a test on this and passed.

When Britain taxed the colonies too much the colonists decided to act. When the colonists dumped the tea into the harbor, Parliament got so angry they passed the Intolerable Acts. Four laws that were so crutial that the colonists named them the Intolerable acts. Then the delegates from the colonies sent the Olive Branch Petition declaring their loyalty to Britain and asking the king to repeal the Intolerable Acts. The king was very angry and sent like 2000 troops to the colonies and thats when the Revoluionary War began. In the end the Americans won the war and Britain had no control over the colonies so the Intolerable Acts were over.

Hey e-mail me when u get this and tell me what u think of it and if u got a good grade on ur essay! bye :)

The colonists in Boston, particularly the radical Sons of Liberty, were angry with the Massachussetts Governor Hutchison for refusing to allow the colonists to trade with any other nation than England. Since the colonists could only buy British goods, particularly tea, British merchants were able to charge inflated prices for tea (the most famous of these crooked merchants was the East India Trading Company). In response, the Sons of Liberty disguised themselves as Indians and crept aboard the East India Trading Company's vessels and tossed the tea into the harbor. King George III, infuriated at this show of rebellion, imposed the Boston Port Bill. This bill was the total price of the tea that had been destroyed. To pay off this debt, the king taxed the Bostonians mercilessly. The king also lashed out at Governor Hutchison, whose failure to control the Sons of Liberty he believed had caused the incident. Hutchison was replaced by General Thomas Gage, who would later lead the British forces at Bunker Hill.
