I kinda like the man. I'm not saying that I am going to vote for him. He has some great ideas, but I don't believe that he is electable.

He is generally on the right track.
He is so fanatical about his objectives he can' communicate coherently.
I agree with him in principle, but he is to nutty to hold a significant position of power.
Following the Constitution is NOT crazy, it is the RIGHT thing to do. Maybe our updated Supreme Court will have what it takes to help assure it is followed in the manner intended by or brilliant Founding Fathers.
THAT will stop this slide toward a Socialist society.

Who are you and where did you get the crazy idea that he will ever make a difference? He has not in all of his years in Congress. Why would he start now?
Following the constitution? Maybe if some of you Paulies read it you would know that he is just hot air and cannot do half the things he talks about, Constitutionally.
Why does he want to go back to the gold standard?
Would it have anything to do with the investments he has in precious metals and mining, as outlined in his profile?

lol.. he's got my vote
EDIT: bonnie, we cannot continue to simply print money “out of thin air” without any hard assets backing our currency..
Paul is for creating a competing currency backed by gold. "He opposes dependency on paper fiat money, but also says that there "were some shortcomings of the gold standard of the 19th century ... because it was a fixed price and caused confusion." He argues that hard money, such as backed by gold or silver, would prevent inflation, but adds, "I wouldn't exactly go back on the gold standard but I would legalize the constitution where gold and silver should and could be legal tender, which would restrain the Federal Government from spending and then turning that over to the Federal Reserve and letting the Federal Reserve print the money. "He supports parallel currencies, such as gold-backed notes issued from private markets, competing on a level playing field with the Federal Reserve fiat dollar." –wiki
***He is NOT for returning to the gold standard, he is for creating a competing currency backed by gold.. wouldn't you rather have currency backed with the rising value of gold, instead of currency backed by the depreciating negative value of debt?

Don't know him, but are you sure he's a Republican? After all, he believes in the Constitution.

He isn't. He's an idiot.
I truly believe most of the Ron Paul supporters on this board are really Hillary supporters out to steal votes from legitimate Republican candidates.
Ron Paul is not among those candidates.
