Probably the same reason why people are dumbfounded when I say I love to cook and reading is my hobby.

I think people are shocked by it b/c they see your personality as somebody else. I don't find anything wrong with ppl who love to read or cook. I actually know a few friends who love to read.

We live in a fast time where reading and cooking are too time consuming for those shocked by your admission. I paced down myself and I love to read and do hobbies--taking time to smell the roses... Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too.

I don't know! I also love to read, but cooking is a part of my life, not my hobby- not enough time to have fun with it!

They are silly or empty people, Sweet Elf: no heart, no reason, no life within them. I call such guys 'hollow men/women'.
Yet a keen and alive Elf does not care about silly Nuts which/who have no kernel inside their shell.

Sexest men.. They look at you saying she is so pretty, pretty girls care about looks not braines... then when you tell them that you like to read, and cooking is your hobby they think "Holy cow!"
If it's girls then... uhh... no explaination exept one.... uhhh Lezbian... not that theres anything wrong with that but... I think it's odd
