If you don't have room in your refrigerator to thaw the turkey, or just didn't get started soon enough, go the cold water route. Submerge the frozen bird in cold water and change the water every 30 minutes, advises Bill Schafer, food safety expert with the University of Minnesota Extension Service. Allow about 30 minutes of defrosting time per pound of turkey, Schafer advises. Then cook the turkey immediately after thawing.

Quick - stick it in a large cookpot and cover with cool water! The water will help thaw the turkey. I always thaw it in water in the sink, but evidently that can increase the risk of bacteria. If the turkey is still frozen early tomorrow morning (I would check about 2 hours before you are planning on sticking it in the oven), then unwrap it, take out the gizzards, rinse it well and stick it into a brine bath (basically salt water) so that the water is able to get through the center cavity of the turkey.
If it still feels cold and not very pliant when you are ready to cook it, make sure that you do not put stuffing into the cavity, but cook the stuffing separately (tastes better that way, anyway). The brine bath will also hydrate the turkey so that it stays moist during the cooking! Good luck!

you can "brine" the turkey overnight, which is to soak it in a salt water mixture not only will it thaw but it will keep the turkey moist. you have to thoroughly rinse the turkey after you take it out of the salt water mixture. I use 2 cups salt, 2 cups brown sugar, garlic cloves, rosemary and other spices. I rub the inside and outside of the bird with half of the dry ingredients and disssolve the rest in the water. then put the bird in and stick it in the fridge. first thing in the morning rinse the bird, dump the brine and cook as normal. there are other recipes on some of the recipe websites.

Put the turkey in the sink and fill it with cold water, replace the water every 30 mins and turn the turkey when you change the water. It should be thawed in 2-3 hours.

Run it under cool water in the sink.
Cut it up if you can and it will thaw out much more quickly. And if it isn't thawed by tomorrow, go to the store and buy some turkey slices from the deli and eat the slices on thanksgiving, and then have thanksgiving dinner on friday ^^

ONLY USE THE COLD WATER METHOD FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS WHILE YOU ARE MONITORING IT. The temperature should not be less than 40 degrees. Use a food thermometer. Leaving it in the fridge overnight and then using the cold water method would be a safer plan. Whatever you do, don't leave the turkey out overnight!!!

take it and put it into a large pot with COLD water (NOT HOT) and let it sit. Change the water every half hour or so. (If yo get up early tomorrow, you could wait until tomorrow), unless you want to be getting up during the night.
that's what we do, when we forget.
ALSO, you CAN cook it frozen, but it will take at least a couple hours longer.
