i think it is the alternater because the car wont start...but idk can anyone help me

the alternator does not start the car, the battery does.
The alternator keeps the battery charged.

yep dead battery, now you need to find out the cause old battery, light left on, alternator bad....

has to do with alternator,Belt tight? cracked? clicking noise can be (valves) low on oil?
you can remeove alternator ah=nd have it checked by parts store they tell you if it needs to be replaced! (Checker or Autozone)...don't what you have available...
