A spy satellite also referred to as a reconnaissance satellite
a list of different ones
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy_satellite#Types
KH-12 and KH-13 are the newest
Landsat 7, the most recent Landsat satellite, was launched in 1999. In 1977, the first real time satellite imagery was acquired by the USA's KH-11 satellite system.
I'm sure there are others, but their not giving out the names of them.

It would not be the FBI that would be using these, but rather the NSA and USAF Space Command. In the 1970s (early) it would have been called Big Bird, and then migrated to the fully digital sats from the KH-10, KH-11 and now KH-12 and other stealth satellites. Lot of the operations were out of Onizuka AFS in the South Bay Area until the station closed in 2005 and consolidated in Los Angeles. Where most of the sats are parked, you would never be able to see much of the if any, so no real 'star' like appearance...the stealth sats are nearly invisible, at least to the average public.

It's easier for them to park a car outside your house. Better check.
