I'm thankful for my family, but I'm also thankful to God for putting me on this Earth in the United States, where I am free, the quality of living is high, the lifespan is long and healthy, and the opportunities are many, and not in some place like Ethiopia where disease is rampant, it's hard to even get drinking water, let alone food, and the lifespan is very short.
