Really intelligent people question, discover, think and compare. They realize that all cultures have the negative and positive people. They know that you cannot put a certain group of people in a box and call all by the same name,

I do think however, that some people are intelligent in certain categories, but deep down they hide that they are racist.

Point in fact - You can be very knowledgeable about health, what you should do to keep healthy, alternative medicine, what to do to help your body. They even state that what you think reflects on your health. However, with regard to race, they have judgemental and prejudicial reasoning and are therefore racist. This of course, is very hypocritical. They say that what you think affects your health, yet they themselves have inborn thoughts about certain cultures and are judgemental. Wouldn't you think that would effect their health? Of course it would.

I have come across two such people on Answers. One regarding knowing everything there is know about health and yet turned out to be a racist and the other being a very outspoken Christian, and yet when it came down to accepting a certain race, they disappeared from the site.

I have deliberately eeked out those that I feel are not being sincere. When they have put me down as a contact and have sent me their e-mail, I have sent them a picture of myself and my grandchildren. From that point on I have not only not heard back from them, but one changed her nickname and changed her e-mail address.

The picture was of me, a white grandmother, and my three beautiful black grandchildren. No point in making any more comments, you get the picture.

Intelligence is a property of mind that encompasses many related abilities, such as the capacities to reason, to plan, to solve problems, to think abstractly, to comprehend ideas, to use language, and to learn. There are several ways to define intelligence. In some cases, intelligence may include traits such as: creativity, personality, character, knowledge, or wisdom. However, some psychologists prefer not to include these traits in the definition of intelligence.

Racism is prejudice or discrimination based on the belief that race is the primary factor determining human traits and abilities. Racism includes the belief that genetic or inherited differences produce the inherent superiority or inferiority of one race over another. In the name of protecting their race from "contamination," some racists justify the domination and destruction of races they consider to be either superior or inferior. Institutional racism is racial prejudice supported by institutional power and authority used to the advantage of one race over others.

A person can be both of these at the same time

Nope not at all. All the genius people , actually, are anti Racist. You may not have heard this but Einestien has been a civil right activist. But they don't tell you that. And
" DR." Watson, who "decoded" DNA, never decoded DNA. He , like many "scientists" , put his name under a hard research work done by a fellow Lady. I mean racism and intellectual are sate of mind , and they are polar opposites. I have never seen racist intellectuals. Have you ever considered examining the states, now tell me which states, in the us have more bright people? Now honestly answer that question and you tell me Silicon Valley is known for its diveristy. The research Triangle in NC is known for its diverse cultural acceptance amongst a "hell". And in MIT, our nations , well the world's top place for scientifc research ,you won't find the term racist.
So a racist may have the level DR, scientist etc....but , we all know you don't have to be intellectual to get to that level. Atleast I know a bunch of cheese heads racists who happen to have that label.

Servant, you couldn't be any more wrong but thanks for the smoke-n-mirrors. Being racist doesn't believe that one race should dominate over another. It means that they believe that one race, with provable facts, is not advancing mankind but hindering it. I'm sick and tired of every white person being thrown into one category. I'm not kkk. I'm not a skinhead. I'm not the descendent of a slave owner. What I am is a realist. I see with my own eyes and ears and make a determination for myself. Just look at the justice dept. site or the first 10 minutes of every newscast and you'll see who is the troublemakers(that's putting it mildly). Does that make me a racist or someone who is intelligently making a prognosis with all of the facts and experience?

Yes. Though if the question was Can a person be Racist and Wise at the same time, then that's a different story.

Many of the most influential and intelligent people have been racist, let's say Hitler. Hitler ruled a nation for 15 years, killing 7 million Jews and other religions and other people. He ruled almost all of Europe at one time taking over each country with ease (except Russia of course) But his smarts were also is downfall because he became too greedy and he had to kill himself so he wouldn't be executed by the UN later.
