People come out with ignorant rants or pointless questions.

You can't talk about baseball without getting thumbs down on your answer, its pathetic.

I couldn't agree with you more. There are bandwagoners, spammers, trolls, illeterate little girls...and much more. Its a wonder there are any REAL baseball questions left on here. When I first came to this section, I thought it was an intelligent section where I could come to talk about baseball with other members. This proved true...when teams were still playing...now, in the offseason, it seems there's nothing to talk about. I guess that could explain why there's people like Dork & Diva, asking stupid questions. Some people truly need to take the saying "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" to heart. Its true and it would make this baseball section better. I do like this section and its intelligent members, but I think I may find another section to answer questions in and only answer the GOOD questions in this section until baseball season starts. As for the totally ignorant members, I just report their questions and ignore them. What good does answering them do? It just encourages them. If there's someone who I feel is truly offensive or completely clueless, I block them. Its better that way. I starred this, great question.

I don't know when you starting noticing changes going on these baseball boards, or even what Spfamg24BIG counts as pointless questions/answers. But there is denfily a big change on the baseball boards, and even on members' part. But what can we all do for this to change? Well for one thing we all need to be nicer to each other, that is no way on how to make friends. Not that I am saying that I have anything to do with this, but we do need to be respectful to others, and people's feelings, even if we might not like something or soemody that others do. But let's not become or even feed these trolls, because that will lead to nothing but trouble.

I agree with you 100%. There's still the same people who can share thier opinions in a respectful manner, but it's been diluted with ignorance.

Eventually, I have to think they'll get bored and go bother wrestling or something.

I think the baseball section has a great group for the most part though....

I would say there is about a 5%-10% chance he won't be a Yankee next year. I'd like to say 0%, but I have to be realistic about it. The Yankees want Jeter and Jeter wants to be a Yankee like you said, but I keep having to remind myself that they are dealing with millions of dollars here. Both sides want the best deal they can get for themselves, so we have to be patient. BQ- I've been a little MIA here for a while myself! Haha, I'm pretty good though, how about you? :)

I hate the people you are talking about, also, therir has been somany less questions asked, you see questions go from 5 minutes ago, to 2 hours ago on the same page! This section is getting old for some, but people need to stay and ask, and answer questions!

yeah i dont like people just wanting to dis a-rod. I do admit i love seeing the yankees choke but only because there so stacked. And a-rod does deserve 25 a year hes going to shatter bonds *asterisk* record and hes a very good fielder. baseball is a business and even ripkin jr said its just showin up to work every day.

I too have noticed this. I simply ignore those people as much as I can by not answering their questions, and I have blocked several people who are just as stupid.
I try to focus on all the good people in this section (and there quite a few including yourself).
And yes, while I do love to ask anti-yankee questions, all the REAL yankee fans know my sense of humor, and appreciate it...
The best thing to do is just ignore them and soon they will all go away.

Anyone can get a computer, Internet access and an anonymous screenname and go out an be irresponsible with no repercussions! Other people have class, dignity, and/or genuinely want to help.

Yeah is has become more chaotic over the last couple of days. I hope when the Regular Season starts over in April it will go back to normal.

I blame the crazy questions due to the lack of nothing to talk about.
