What I usually do is send an e-mail from my phone to Facebook's mobile e-mail address. Write a message on your phone to mobile@facebook.com with the picture as an attachment. This will automatically upload the picture to your profile into an album called "Mobile Uploads". Then you can move it to another album or whatever. Note that this will only work if you have already told Facebook what your cell phone number is. You can activate this by going to "account" and then "Mobile" in Facebook.
Another option is to e-mail the picture from your phone to your e-mail address. Then you can download the picture to your computer and upload it to Facebook in the normal way.
