That's a planetary nebula - a cloud of gas blown off a dying star and glowing from the ultraviolet radiation from the very hot core that is all that remains of the star. Those beautiful colors are the result of long-exposure photography and are not visible to the naked eye. Through an amateur telescope this object is a large ghostly gray spot with some subtle arcs of brighter and darker gray. There is nothing divine or supernatural about it, though, if that's what you're asking.

That's the "Helix Nebula" and it's real. It's actually a planetary nebula. It's also known as NGC 7293 and it's located in the constellation Aquarius.

Of course it's real. I've observed several times with my telescope. It's the closest planetary nebula to the Earth. It has absolutely nothing to do with God.

The eye of God is real, but it has been enhanced as far as the color of the various regions. It is also a composite of layers, taken with different wavelengths (infrared and UV I believe).
