i took my kids away from an abusive situation, and called social sevices. they told me to file immediately, but i don't know if i need to do it here or in florida. if i can file for legal aid here or if i need to go there.

Years ago, I moved from oklahoma back home to michigan. I was told I would have to secure 6 months residency in michigan before I could file for divorce.

Did you move with the consent of the children's mother? If not, you are a kidnapper and a fugitive.
You probably need an attorney fast. At least before I get behind you in my squad.

in which state where you married? thats the state i would go to and file for divorce, it will be the best and fastest way.
