My divorce was wonderful. The ex wife and I are the best of friends. Be humane! Be a good person and prepare to give up some things. Let it go!

The first thing you need is a good attorney.
Then you need to fix whatever personal problems that you have that contributed to the divorce.
I recommend you start by attending some support meetings for separated and divorced people.
Good luck.

divorce is really hard on guys especially. plan that it'll take you a year or more before you are feeling in control of your life. get counseling, gain insight, learn what's yours and what's not yours, and learn to communicate better and these are things you'll only be able to get better at in counseling with a good therapist. don't date for a long time. If you've got to have sex only see older women who are not interested in relationships.
rebuild your life. discover who you really want to be. good luck. oh, and double your time in the gym, or start a new physically challenging sport/hobby, rock climbing, white water rafting etc.

Hire an attorney, talk to a counselor/priest/pastor, spend time with friends, get plenty of sleep, eat well and stay healthy. Good luck. I am sorry this has happened but it seems to 50% of the time.

Mail your wife half your stuff and go get a stiff drink.
PLEASE GET AN ATTORNEY. TRUST ME THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FRIENDLY DIVORCE. I shouted that so you would know I am really serious.

I would say pray. I don't know if you believe in God, but He helps a lot. I'm sorry you're going through this. Try to keep a positive attitude, and see if there are any good things that come out of it.

Seek counseling and try to work things out between your spouse. If not contact an attorney and he'll walk you through the whole process.

Get a job, and get involved in an activity or charity to help you transition to life without a spouse.
