Slide a rind down behind
The sofa in San Tropez.....

Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast
Only Floyd would use cereal popping and bacon sizzling as an instrument.

EDIT: Several Species of Small Furry Animals Together in a Cave Grooving With a Pict also deserves mention. The first time I heard it I was literally speechless. It was a "what the heck is Roger doing?" moment.

Right now it's Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. I voted for Pink Floyd, but it's pretty sad that Nickelback is winning.

I'm not overly knowledgeable on PF's full catelogue, but from what I've heard I'd say :~

Bike
The Grand Vizier's Garden Party (Entertainment)

I really love 'Meddle', with one exception :~

The end of 'Fearless' features 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. Now, being in the UK, I have heard that song one time too many for my liking! So when the music stops on 'Fearless' I have to skip forward before that starts!

np: 'Strange Kind of Woman' ~ Deep Purple

All Floyd is strange, that is why I love it so much. I've been a fan since hearing Arnold Layne back in late 67. My brother aquired the single and I wore it out. Dang I was young then. Sorry back to your question, I'd say A Saucerful of Secrets. Just so many differnt things going on, freakadelic is my only description.

I think their oddest track by far is "Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict" from Ummagumma. Great title though!

San Tropez, strangest?

You've obviously never heard Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast.

It's a song... about Alan Parsons... making breakfast. They recorded him frying bacon, putting a kettle on to boil, loudly crunching on Rice Krispies (complete with smacking), and threw in some cool, funky music between courses.

Alan lets you know through the songs that "breakfast in LA... microbiotic stuff," and, "Marmalade, I like marmalade!"

Floyd's strangest songs definitely come from the Syd Barrett era. "Bike" comes to mind... but really pretty much everything on Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is pretty strange.

BIKE it is so strange and has nothing to do with the rest...
I am a PF fan for soooo many years now.... but even in absolute genius there are flaws once in a while
LOL
Isn't ECHOES the best song they ever made? Transports me to the universe and beyond every time I listen to it. As fantastic as the 9th symphony.

The Gnome. Piper At The Gates of Dawn.
All the songs on that cd are pretty strange.
They are like acid tripping childrens songs.
