Pick the one that resonates with you the most...it doesn't have to be the longest, or the most researched. Just something that really helps you to understand what it was you asked to begin with.

That may be the reason why I do more answering than asking. I get so many wonderful answers that I find it difficult to choose which is best. I suppose my method of choosing which is the best answer is the one that opened my eyes a bit more. I do not choose an answer that reflects my own opinion though. Good luck.

Tough situation. Select the one that gave the information that you wanted, given in an interesting manner.
After you selected your best answer, you may mention the runners-up on the space at the bottom of the Best Answer box.

If all the answers are similar, I try to select the first one that gave the answer. I think alot of people have a "friends network" on here, so they will selct a friend over the best answer.

Choose the answer that coincides with your own opinion the most. I usually read them all over again and choose the one that stands out. I really have never understood why we are put in this position in the first place. We ask an opinion and many are kind enough to offer theirs and that should be all there is to it. This point system in my opinion is anti-climactic.
Good Luck!

Great question Rose... I've found it difficult too. Getting to know everyone has made it more difficult... so I have to go with the most kind hearted, and I love humor... I guess it's different for everyone... some are more informative than others and that's a different ball game... just do what feels right to you... we all understand that we all give great answers! lol just have fun!

I'm not sure why you need to be courteous? When you have to choose an answer, you use common sense and select what appears to be the right answer out of many that also seem correct. Which is the MOST correct?
But courteous. Hmmm, that belongs in other contexts of life.
Have a great day.

In general, if they are all excellent, best answer goes to the first responder or the one you most agree with.

Pick one that, for reasons of your own, best satisfy what you had in mind when you asked the question. Or, have your own criteria. Just Please do the rating yourself and not let it ride for an automatic selection.
(the points are no big deal -- sometimes the comments can be uplifting or educational -- or both)

There just are none...some go by "thumbs up," some go by "who they have never chosen before," some go by "who they trust," and some just take the mouse and click! But does it really matter? Points here are no more than a means to make you a target for trolls...the higher the points, the bigger the target! Phil
