I really want to move out. and wanted to know what are my options based on my income level. basically do any one have any information on/about affordable rentals for individuals such as myself?

since you make 12 an hour, i would say you should just shop around for an apartment, find the area that you would like to live in and compare rates for a one bedroom...good luck on your place:)

Sounds like you make about $25,000 per year, or little over $2,000 per month. You should be able to afford about a third of that on rent, or about $700/month. You'll need about two months rent saved up (for 1st month's rent plus deposit), or about $1,400.

Rents vary a lot from area to area, but if you can find a 1-bedroom or studio apartment for about $700/month, then you should be able to get your own apartment if:
1) you have at least $1,400 or more saved up
2) you've been working steadily at your job for at least a year
3) you don't have really bad delinquencies on your credit report.

Check out Craigslist online for apartments in your area - good luck.

A lot depends on where you live - apartment prices in LA or NYC are very different than, say, Dubuque Iowa. See what apartments go for in your area, then make a budget and see if you can afford one and still have money left for other things you need. If not, you'd have to look into finding a roommate.
