why do people think asian women are pretty/sexy or whatever? i'm asian myself, so i'm not racist or whatever....i just don't understand it.
sometimes, i just think that they're all talking about only a tiny group of pretty asian girls, and kinda forgetting about the less good looking and nerdier ones...
no guys have really shown any interest in asian girls (this goes for ALL of my asian friends), but you here about this "yellow fever" and people saying asian women are "hot" and stuff...

I am Asian myself, Vietnamese-Amercian. There are stereotypes that Asian women are pretty, yes, yes. And yes, they are only talking about the only tiny group of pretty asian girls and forgetting the nerdier/less good-looking ones.
No guys haven't shown any interest in asian girls because they haven't matured yet or they aren't sure how to go talk and ask you out yet. Most guys are like that. And since asians are usually smart, shy, quiet, other race of people think they should be gentle and kind to them since they're not sure how to become friends or talk to an asian.
I'm not being racist or anything, I'm just telling you what I see around me.

Maybe I'm hanging out with the wrong people but I really don't hear a whole lot of blanket statements about any particular race of women being any hotter than any other. A good looking woman is a good looking woman. I sometimes hear comments like, "Asian women are hot," but not very often and no more frequently than, "Latina woman are fine," or "black women are sexy." I think the race based attraction is less frequent and more evenly distributed than you are perceiving.

To put it simple, I find Asian women to be the most beautiful, and most interesting women on the planet. For a long period of time I knew nothing of the stereotypes/labels(Asian fetish, yellow fever etc.), until I did some research on the net here. I hate being/seeing those labels.

I don't think this is true on whole, but on a small scale it is probably the mystery. I mean everyday you see white women on television half naked, and if you turn to music videos you'll see Black and Hispanic women half naked as well. Maybe men are fantasizing about that which they know very little about. Now, I'm not saying that men are necessarily becoming attracted to Asian women more than other women, but I'm saying that maybe some men fantasize about Asian women because of the novelty of it. Just a hypothesis.

yeah I'm not that slim or the prettiest Asian girl and i know a lot of people who just say "i love Asian women" and see only the tiny group as well
i think that people find themselves attracted to people :)
