Dennis Kucinich may no longer feel alone in his quest to have the Vice President Dick Cheney --- and his boss, President Bush --- impeached. Kucinich introduced a privileged resolution on the floor of the House on November 6, only to see the Democratic House leadership adroitly manoeuver to effectively bury the effort in the House Judiciary Committee.

But it now appears that one of Kucinich's rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination Delaware Senator Joe Biden may throw his support behind Kucinich's impeachment campaign. As pointed out by John Nichols , during the last Democratic debate in Las Vegas, Biden was forthright about what should be done should Bush declare war on Iran without Congressional authorization.

Biden has probably figured out that those voters who are looking for a Democratic candidate to support want someone with some spine. I think the Dems won the majority in the House and Senate in the last election because voters wanted to see some oversight. Unfortunately, the Democratic party can't seem to find its spine. Kucinich has always been in favor of impeachment proceedings (as far as I know), and my guess is that Biden wants to show that he has some backbone. My guess is that it is mostly posturing on Biden's part, but we'll see.

A chief prosecutor of Nazi war crimes at Nuremberg has said George W. Bush should be tried for war crimes along with Saddam Hussein. Benjamin Ferenccz, who secured convictions for 22 Nazi officers for their work in orchestrating the death squads that killed more than 1 million people, told OneWorld both Bush and Saddam should be tried for starting "aggressive" wars--Saddam for his 1990 attack on Kuwait and Bush for his 2003 invasion of Iraq.

"Nuremberg declared that aggressive war is the supreme international crime," the 87-year-old Ferenccz told OneWorld from his home in New York. He said the United Nations charter, which was written after the carnage of World War II, contains a provision that no nation can use armed force without the permission of the UN Security Council.

In conclusion the organization who should prosecute Mr. Bush is the International Criminal Court , where he would most likely be hanged and not be able to go back to his little ranch and chop wood . Here's a link to the particular court - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Criminal_Court

Edit - I suppose the reason the US didn't sign on to participate in the International Criminal Court is to save Mr. Bush or any other American " leader " , then again - who knows ?

It is definitely too late to be considering impeachment. There are not enough Democrats in the Senate to see him get impeached. The talk of impeachment seems more like a political issue than a realistic issue. There are so far more important things in this country that need our attention. As long as the Democrats control congress, there is not much more that Bush can do to destroy this country.

I think Kucinich was the first to call for Bush and Cheney's Impeachment. Unfortunately it has fell on death ears in congress.

Dennis Kucinich is right, Bush should be impeached.

Kucinich brought about the articles of impeachment against Cheney last year after Cheney first began to speak about taking military action against Iran.

I'm not sure, I used to really like Senator Biden, but I don't understand what the point is of pushing for impeachment now, when he continues to vote in favor of funding the war and every other act Bush/Cheney try to get passed?

Its all fluff, no muscle. Its to make himself very recognized and favorably viewed by the American populace since a majority of the American populace doesn't approve of Bush. If he were real, then he would have already submitted an impeachment request, which he would keep submitting the impeachment requests one after the other until it were actually considered. Either he is playing a game or he has no balls.

it probably has to do with the fact that Republicans had the senate and house until this year...

Clinton would have never even been bothered if the house/senate was a Democrat majority

Bush won't declare war on Iran.

Bush didn't declare war on Iraq, congress, with the approval of the majority of democrats gave him authorization to go into Iraq.

Hope that helps!
