i have a siren 4gb mp3 player that all of a sudden cant be detected by my computer ,using windows vista???

does not come up on device manager but the player reads usb connected

first off, nice first answer [rolls eyes]..

Not exactly sure the interface w/ Vista, but maybe this will work
Try this:
Try going into like a recovery mode of soemthing w/ the player and try to reboot it.. if not ......
1)Plug in the player.. Doesnt have to respond though..
2)Go to Start>Control Settings>System>Hardware..
3) Find Portable Music player os something like that..
4) Expand it and click update drivers.. do it..
5) If this doenst work, try uninstalling the software and reloading it...
