Because the left will have a hard time finding dirt. So they attack the reason that they can't find dirt. Morals and Values that can be respected

If he were a democrat it wouldn't matter as much and you can see that by the fact that there is a woman leading and a black man in 2nd place.
But because he is Republican Mormon he has to be vetted by the Christian Right which (though they won't admit it) will not endorse him because the Mormon religion is competition for evangelicals who are afterall businessmen.
The Christian Right has destroyed the Republicans who have sold their soul to God I guess.

It doesn't matter that he is a Mormon what matters is he is a neo Conservative , which basically means more debt, multinational corporations get further deregulated and make more money at the expense of the average American , weaker trade policies the belief that the "market" will take care of everything. Americans are starting to see through this and are demanding change I say to hell with Bush's tax cuts lets roll back Reg ans tax cuts EDIT, TO RONBOY OBAMA ISNT A MUSLIM YOUR A MORON OBAMA IS A CHRISTIAN LOOK IT UP

If Romney being a Mormon is an issue then what about Obama being a Muslim? What about Hillary not caring one way or the other?
Personally I don't look at their religious beliefs.I look at there record in where they stand on the issues of this country. And,I agree with you about Romney's past record.I would say that if Ron Paul is not in the choices, then Mitt will be my choice.

It doesn't matter.I don't necessarily support Romney but it isn't because of his religion. I haven't heard any strong statements regarding illegal immigration from him and I have even checked his voting record at ontheissues.org

It doesn't matter. His political views do. We, as Americans, tend to either look down on or fear anything we do not understand and most of us to not fully understand the LDS religion.
We are ignorant, in three words. Ignorance breeds fear which manifests itself as hatred, whether based on religion, skin color, gender or any other factor.

People should be judged by their actions and ideals not their religion. How many people voted for Bush because he claims to be a christian. Saying you are something does not make it so.

It dosent matter. Nobody cares but the media who need material for stories.
What matters is he is the same as as Giuliani. A left winger in conservative clothing.

It matters not to me, however, the ones raising the big stink over this are members of the Republican Party.

His religion doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is the fact that like Hillary, he will say anything to get elected. Watch him change his opinions with the wind.....
