I think Deandra is different. If people don't like it they'll get used to it. I didn't like the name Harry, and now my son's name is Harry.
If you like it, go with it.

I have actually seen the name Deandra before. It's ugly on the page and ugly on the ear. I would name the illicit offspring of a witch Deandra, but nothing else.

I don't like it personally, although it is unique. If you are looking for something with a similar sound, you might try the name Demetra. It is classy and Greek.
