You English fans were so stupid in forcing out Sven Goran Eriksson.
Tactically he was the best manager you had in a long time - qualifying easily for tournaments and getting to quarter-finals of major tournaments with very average players. You English should wake up and realise you don't have the players with the technical ability to win major competitions - and what Sven did was almost miraculous.
No English or British manager has the tactical ability to manage at international level. Not even Alex Ferguson, who wouldn't last 20 weeks let alone 20 years at one of the true European giants (Barcelona, Real Madrid or AC Milan) with his one fluky European Cup success in over 20 years.
You need to appoint a manager with tactical rather than motivational ability (remember Kevin Keegan) so it has to be a foreigner such as Capello.

Its about time the true football orientated people voted for the manager, not some back street numpties who think they know about football, the majority of fans knew McClaren wasn`t right for the job, since 1966 they have got it wrong why can`t we have a ballot for the next manager, at least most of us can`t be wrong, it will be like electing a prime minister but this is more important

hmm, i dont have much of a reputation to lose...ill take the job. david james would be my number one until he decided to hang up his boots or green, carson, or foster truly took the number one away.
i'd also restore faith in defoe and be lucky enough to look like a good manager when walcott is scoring hat tricks in south africa.
