I just asked a question about the Kansas/Mizzou game, and like most questions on this forum, everyone started talking about this and that team not having a good out of conference win. Well, who has? Mizzou beat Illinois who beat Ohio State. They beat Ole' Miss on the road. Tell me who has these so-called big wins? A mid-level Cal over a mid-level Tennessee? Oregon over Michigan that just lost to Appalachia? I don't see any team having all these big out of conference wins. I think it is just sour grapes from fans of teams that aren't as good as Kansas and Mizzou. I think some of these people are going to be in for some big surprises come bowl season.

Va. Tech sucks, and LSU won't come play outside their extreme home-field advantage. And it's not just the crowd either if you know what I mean. They also played a patsy team later than I've ever seen a power team do so.

Oklahoma State, K-State, and Texas Tech are as good or better than Texas.

i think no one out there can complain about big 12 teams and their schedules & here's why - they play a friggin conference championship game!!! even if they have some lightweights (and everybody did this year), at the end of the season they have to knock off the champ of the other division, and that's a ball game. the big 10, pac 10, and big east do NOT do that. think about it - ohio state made it to the bcs game last year and DID NOT HAVE TO PLAY a one-loss wisconsin squad all year, not even in a conference championship game.
i think LSU's schedule is the most legit. they 2 cupcakes, but they also added virginia tech and absolutely pummeled them, and now VT is a top 10 team. plus LSU's conference schedule was brutal.
i'm an SEC fan and i have total respect for the big 12 because it has a conference championship game. by the way, all the other SEC fans i know feel the same way about the big 12 - it's the conferences that won't have a championship game that irk us.

I actually think both teams are good and that they do play in a good conference. I don't understand how they can go through the Big 12 schedule and not play Oklahoma or Texas during the regular season, but that's not up to me. I think that if either one wins out in the regular season and wins the Big 12 title game then they should have a shot at the national title game. That's just my opinion though.

Georgia fan here. Yes, that's an SEC school. I don't get all the annoying SEC fans either. That's not to say all SEC fans are annoying, but there definitely are some out there. I'll be watching the Kansas Missouri game because I love the game. I love college football because I love to see the heart of the players and I love to see them grow up in front of the country. Personally I'd love to see my team go up against any other good team in the country. That's one of the reasons I look forward to bowl season so much. The 04 Sugar Bowl was one of the best games I've ever been to. Yes, we lost, but it was an awesome game.

Gypsy my girl you nailed it. There will be lots of surprises along the way, with a few upsets. I don't think the Kansas Mizzou game will be a surprise to those of us, like you, because they both are coming into this game loaded. I mean there both ranked high nationally, both teams are very talented, and both teams have been tested. This is a great year for either of these programs to make a huge name for themselves this weekend. I like them both, whoever wins will probably get a chance to play for national championship.

You really seem to have an inferiority complex.
Who cares what other people think?
Kansas or Mizzou don't really impress me, the big 12 is in a very down cycle not a great team in the bunch.

Nice question!! I am so sick of all the SEC fans claiming that their conference is tougher than the AFC east. There is so much parity in college football this year that no one has a leg to stand on when they say how great their team is.
