If I can't win first place, I'd settle for the best i can do. never would i quit the race.

One thing that I have learnt in this life is to never, ever sell yourself short,other people will very readily do that for you.
So, I would do everything in my power to come first and maybe settle for a dead heat if winning was impossible.
But,it is not in my nature to settle for second unless it is totally beyond my mortal power.
As for giving in,forget that possibility. The more impossible it is, the more tenacious I become.
It may have something to do with being a Capricorn, I love climbing "mountains" but it has to be climbed perfectly or else I will do it all over again until it is.

Let me confess first that I like being in the first place not the second or any other.
But when the first place is gone FOR A MOMENT OR FOR SOME TIME, I have the patience and work hard to GET IT to myself.

I'd settle for second, if it was really close, I might be a little mad I didn't win, but if it wasn't then second would be just fine with me. I wouldn't want to be known as a quitter.

Thank God i was in the race aslan..............First, Second, Last..... doesn't matter at all, but then again not all races, some special races i won't accept other than first place or else no need to be in it.

I used to be a swimer& I got first place only once
Never stoped me.
