Okay, I just want to get other people's opinions on the choice of Karl Urban playing the part of Dr. McCoy in the upcoming movie. McCoy, being one of my favorite characters, is a part a would really appreciate them not screwing up. With all due respect to Karl, I just don't like the idea of him playing Bones. But hey, he could surprise me. Anyway, what do you think about it???

I don't know about him in this role. Most of his roles were action oriented. The closest thing to this that he has done was his role in Ghost Ship. So far he has not demonstrated the wit and character that Deforest Kelly had. Sometime actors surprise you with what they can do and I hope that this is case here.

No one on earth is going to be able to do any of the parts justice. It's like trying to find someone to replace your parents. You can't really do it. Personally, I love Star Trek too much and wish they would just let it rest. It's over. Why keep ruining it with crap?
