ok theres a frickin' huge spider above my bed what do i do!!!!?

ok theres a frickin' huge spider above my bed what do i do!!!!
im terrified of them and i wanna go to sleep and to make matters worse my husband isnt here to get it.
my son had me up all night last night as he is teething.
any suggestions on what i should do?
maybe i should just sleep on the couch...........

its on the ceiling not the wall

I am also terrified at spiders too! Don't sleep on the couch 'cause the spider will move and u never know when it may crawl in ur bed the next night so take a broomstick and smoosh it with the brissels and hold it out and shake it outside! TADA the spiders gone

Does your vacuum has a long hose attachment? That's what I use to get at spiders in my house. I've had to stand on the bed with the hose attachment in one hand and the vacuum in the other to get at spiders on the wall and the ceiling, but it beat having to sleep with them over my head.

shut the door, sleep on the couch and the next day hunt it down and report it to anyone capable of killing it. either that or lure it into a box and set it loose out side (that's what i always do. I'm terrified to spiders as well but can't bring myself to kill them)

Throw the pillow over it. Either it runs away or get crushed to death. I think ur husband is not careful enough about u. If he has something to care about u, he must not leave behind a spider to scare u to death. I fear his mind is somewhere else. May be another ....... Sorry, but my fears may come true. My wife too fears spider and when she finds one at home, she is sure there is another outside with me. But she is careful to kill both. One with the help of pillow and another by spying over me. So I'm careful enough not to leave behind a spider so that the other one is not caught. Your husband ought to know this.

Call International Rescue. It may be a bit out of their remit, unless said spider is trying to take over the world from your bedroom, but Thunderbird 1 could lance it.

Minimum mess, with hardly any spider juice to stain your ceiling. ;-)

stand on your bed with a plastic or paper cup and a piece of paper
place the cup over the spider and slide the paper over the top of the cup to make it fall into the cup
then, i don't know
throw the cup outside

I slept on the couch...lol...i really did. I hate spiders and usually I make my husband get them down for me because the one time i tried getting it i think it sensed it demise and it released it web and fell and i started screaming because it fell into the bed and i couldn't see it so i slept on the couch for like three days. i still sleep on the couch when my husband isn't home to kill them for me. :) good luck.

Do not lose sight of the spider. place a plastic container over it so it doesn't move....and wait or call a friend over to lift and place the seal over it.. ...

i hate spiders too!! you can't leave the spider alone, because if you do it could end up somewhere else.... so scary!!! just smack it with a shoe and then throw it out when it's dead with some paper towels. i HATE them too, i will pray for you!
