Has anyone here had an ectopic pregnancy? I'm seven weeks pregnant, had a m/c 2 months ago and having pains on my right side where I'm thinking my ovaries are. I had it last night, went away this morning and now came back. It's the same type of pain as when you run and get those stings in your side, only that it's on my right and lower....just wondering....or is that just early stretching?

I had one in 2001. It is one of the most painful things I have ever felt. I started bleeding and thought I was loosing the baby. It lasted for several days. I ended up going to the ER one night cause the pain was worse than having a baby and that is when they found out it was ectopic. I ended up in emergency surgery cause mine was bursting and they said it could have of killed me. If you have major pain at all I would go in and have your Dr do an ultrasound. I went to my regular Dr and he did nothing at all and told me it sounded like I was just miscarrying the baby. It caused me emotional problems for a while knowing that I lost the baby that way and now I have only 1 tube left. I was about 8 weeks along when I had mine. The pain was on one side but spread thru my entire stomach and my back. I hope you do not have one. If you are concerned at all go see your Dr...... Good luck

If it feels like a stitch in your side it is most likely round ligament pain, and not an ectopic pregnancy. There are large ligaments connected to your uterus and they stretch when you are pregnant causing sharp or stabbing pains that go away with a change of position, or relaxing and gently massaging the abdomen.

The pain of an ectopic pregnant is severe, especially by 7 weeks gestation. It would be chronic and you might also have shortness of breath and feel very ill and perhaps see a significant drop in blood pressure.

An ectopic pregnancy can also cause the pain to radiate to other places like your entire abdomen and chest and back.

It may just be round ligiment pain due to your uterus starting to stretch BUT i would reccomend you make an appointment with your doc so he can send you for a scan to make sure it is not an eptopic pregnancy. If it is an eptopic pregnancy they will have to terminate because as the baby grows in the tubes, the tubes stretch and it will either split or burst, it is very dangerous and can be life threatening. So dont leave it and make sure the doc does a scan to check to make sure everything is ok! Best of luck and i hope all is well for you and bub!

The best thing to do is go to the doctor. I had an ectopic pregnancy, although I didnt make it that far in the pregnancy. Two days after I found out I was pregnant, I got my period. You should watch for signs of bleeding as well. Of course...But the best thing to do is go to the doctor as soon as possible.

Im pretty sure that if it was an Ectopic pregnancy, since you are already 7 weeks you would be having really bad, almost unbearable pain. I would say that you are doing just fine.

I've heard of women who had successful pregnancies with low hcg levels. However, it does sound like you had a miscarriage, with the pain and the clots. But the fact that your hcg levels are going up is a mystery. It is NOT too early to do an ultrasound and if your doctor told you that, you need to find a new one. The only way they will find out what's really going on is to give you an ultrasound. Best wishes.

Call your doctor and ask.

It is probably just stretching.

If you have an ectopic pregnancy, then you need medical care now before you lose an ovary.

I am so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but an eptopic pregnancy is when the baby is carried outside of the womb.
You need to get to a hospital fast, as this kind of pregnancy is always fatal to the fetus and can cause serious problems for you if you don't end it immediately!
