I take ortho tricyclen. The dr prescribed me amoxcillin 500mg 3 times a day fpr 10 days. i started taking them 7 days before i usually start my period. Me and my BF had unprotected sex the entire time i was on them. My "period" was a few days late and lighter than usual. Only like 2 or 3 days of spotting. Really my question is what are the chances of me getting pregnant since i was only a week away from my period? Wouldnt i be far enough into the month that the BC would have already stopped me from "ovulating"? Keep in my mind i have been on the pill for years and take it every day.

Yes, it should protect you from ovulating but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
