Rob (great during my tomboy stage, pre-teen/early teens)
Bobbin (as in Robin Bobbin, yuck)
Indie (which I love; alternate spelling: Indi)
Pumpy (my ex-husband's nickname for me, short for Pumpkin)
Cap'n (as in Captain, esp. when I am directing a show or teaching a class)
Rainbow Girl (after a kid's story I wrote and have performed)
Students who can't bring themselves to call me Robin call me Teacher, Professor, Miss, Miss Robin, or Prof. Robin
Love this question. I have been thinking a lot lately about nicknames, how, as one of my favorite writers Madeliene L'Engle has written, being "named" is a form of love, identification, affirmation, and recognition. I feel hugged whenever someone calls me Indie or Indi.

All my life to my family I have always been Carlitos. Since my adolescent years I've been given a series of nicknames like, Oscar, Koala, Charlemagne, Pepperhead, The Ref, The Slugger and my favorite one given to me by my ex, Pelvic Monster... although I think she was reffering to something else.

My husband calls me "Boss lady" sometimes because I call him "boss" which started because I work for his company so he really is my boss. But when I was 14 he gave me the nickname of "The Anarchy Angel" and I guess it fits me. I didn't like it at first but its grown on me in the last 7 years. My husband even got a tattoo of an angel overlooking a ruined city with small devil horns and thats his gift to me, a tattoo covering his whole back of an anarchy angel.

Great Q! LOL....okay, well my father has always called me "Doll"...always. He's the only one who does. In school, I was always called Ginger because of my imitations of Ginger Grant from Gilligan's Island. Now, people call me T.Dot...my closest friends, and my students call me "Teach" or Professor T. I'm very informal, and am flattered by all of them. I've never been given a negative nickname.

Well, I was called "Bubbles" by the football team when I was a cheerleader which I hated but now find sortof funny.
My son calls me BigMama which is hilarious because I'm tiny.
For some reason an old boyfriend called me Janie, which is so not my name but the way he said it was kind of endearing? Do you think he thought my name was Janie? LOL

Camra
Camcam
Cammy
Cam
Cammy cam cam (I don't like this one)
I'm called by my twin sister's name Courtney sometimes too. That really annoys me. Thats only a few of my many nicknames.
